Garlic bread with extra-virgin olive oil

For 4 people

4 slices of stale bread ,extra-virgin olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic, vinegar (if you like )

  Preparation

Toast the slices of  bread on the barbecue or in the oven. Rub the garlic on the slices of  bread, add in oil, salt, paprika and, if you like, a bit of origano and aromatic vinegar  

 

 Simple pennette with tomato sauce

For 4 people

500gr of pennette rigate

2 tins of peeled tomatoes

2 cloves of garlic, a bit of extra-virgin olive oil

a bit of origano, salt, a bit of sweet marjoram

cream(if you like it)

Preparation

Put the 2 tins of peeled tomatoes into a casserole together with the 2 cloves of garlic, oil

 

      Gnocchi (potato dumplings) with yellow pumpkin

800 gr of potatoes

300 gr of yellow pumpkin

4 eggs

400 gr of flour

salt

                                     Preparation

Boil the potatoes and the pumpkin, then mash them with the potato masher, add in the eggs, the flour and the salt and make a quite tender dough.

Boil the water, add in the salt and boil the gnocchi. After a few minutes strain them and serve them with a tomato sauce and a lot of  Parmesan cheese  

 

Tomatoes with garlic and origano

1 kg of peeled tomatoes

extra-virgin olive oil, origano, 2 cloves of garlic, salt

                                    Preparation

Put the tomatoes into a frying pan together with the oil, cook them for twenty minutes, add in the garlic,

the salt and the origano. Cook them still for ten minutes. Serve them hot.  

 

Stew

½ kg of veal meat, 1 onion, 1 rib of celery, 1 carrot, 2 or 3 leaves of sage, 2 ripe tomatoes, 1 bouillon cube, a little salt, paprika (if you like)

 

                                     Preparation

Cut the meat in small pieces and make it brown together with the oil and the herbs, add in tomatoes, the bouillon cube, the salt and a little water. Cook it on a low flames for about  an hour.  

 

Rice fritters

 1kg of rice,lemon peel,1 sachet of vanilla extract

a little milk, all that is necessary to mix all the ingredients

300 gr. of sugar

300 gr. of flour

3 eggs

a little liqueur (if you like)

 

                                           Preparation

Boil the rice in salty water, strain it and add in the sugar, the flour, the lemon peel, the three eggs and the sachet of  vanilla extract
